Julian Assange says he chose freedom over 'unrealisable justice'

In his first public statement since his release from prison after 14 years, Julian Assange said he 'chose freedom over unrealisable justice', adding that the only thing he was guilty of doing was journalism.

The Wikileaks founder was addressing the Council of Europe where he said: 'I pled guilty to seeking information from a source. I pled guilty to obtaining information from a source and I pled guilty to informing the public what that information was. I did not plead guilty to anything else'.
