An Israeli airstrike on a school compound in Gaza City has killed at least 80 people, Palestinian health officials have said. The strike targeted the Tabeen school overnight which was sheltering around 6,000 displaced Palestinians. Israel said it was targeting Hamas and Islamic Jihad militants who were using the site as a 'command and control centre'. Israel's army said 20 fighters were among the dead in a statement. Footage from the aftermath of the strike showed dead bodies and body parts strewn across the building. Fadel Naeem, director of al-Ahli hospital in Gaza City, said the facility received the bodies of 80 people killed in the strike
